The 2026 TOCCOA RIVER TAGGED-TROUT FISHING DERBY RUNS MARCH 27 through APRIL 25. Lucky anglers "catch" gear, guide trips, cash and more when they land a "TROUT FEST 2026" tagged trout released in the Toccoa River at public access sites:
- Deep Hole Recreation Area
- Sandy Bottoms Recreation Area
- Tammen Park
- Curtis Switch TVA River Access Site
- Ron Henry Horseshoe Bend Park

In 2025, lucky anglers returned 49 trout tags from their catches on the Toccoa River. Three of six GRAND PRIZES -- worth up to $550 -- were claimed, and many more anglers were awarded area services, products, and cash awards.

- Fishing Derby open to all ages, no angler pre-registration required.
- Georgia State fishing regulations apply.
- Only "Trout Fest 2026" tagged trout are eligible in this derby.
- Trout Fest '26 tagged fish must be caught from March 27 through April 25. Trout Fest '26 tags are not valid and hold no value after April 25, 2025.
- Anglers must remove the tag from the back of the fish, retain the tag for redemption, and complete the TROUT FEST CATCH INFORMATION RECORD below.
- Trout fest tag holders are provided free gate entry (a $10 value) to the 2026 Blue Ridge Trout & Outdoor Adventures Festival, 10 am to 6 pm, April 25, 2026 in downtown Blue Ridge, GA.
- Blue Ridge Mountain Trout Unlimited, Blue Ridge Trout & Outdoor Adventures Festival, and award sponsors assume no risk for anglers fishing on the waters of the Toccoa River, GA.
Trout Fest tags are valid for redemption for prizes/award certificates when presented at Event Headquarters at the 2026 Blue Ridge Trout & Outdoor Adventures Festival, 10 am to 6 pm, April 25, 2026 in downtown Blue Ridge, GA; or 2) by mail (tag must be included) to Trout Fest Trout Tags, PO Box 2745, Blue Ridge, GA 30513. Include the tag, your name, address, phone, email and date/place of your catch. MAILED TAGS MUST BE POSTMARKED NO LATER THAN APRIL 27, 2026. TAGS MAILED AFTER APRIL 27 ARE NOT VALID FOR PRIZES & AWARDS.
