(Jan. 15, 2021) – The 2021 Blue Ridge Trout & Outdoor Adventures Festival (Trout Fest ‘21) shares a responsibility to help protect our families and community. While we wait for the lifting of state and local government restrictions for large group gatherings, we are forced to continue COVID-19 precautionary measures taken in 2020 and stand down on the opening of Trout Fest ‘21 in Blue Ridge, Georgia.
Dang! I know! I’ve got the itch to “get my trout on” more than you!
DOWN … BUT NOT OUT!
HERE’S SOMETHING TO LURE YOU IN … SEND NO MONEY NOW!
Beginning February 24, exhibitors who want to participate in Trout Fest ‘21 – the Official Trout Festival of Georgia – can download their application at this link and provide advance exhibitor information at no cost now:
Send no money now. Once the application is received and approved, exhibitors will immediately be given links, with their logos displayed, on the Trout Fest ’21 website. Also, exhibitors ( and sponsors, too!) will be splashed across the Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages of Trout Fest ‘21. Both types of advertising will continue free of charge until participation in Trout Fest ‘21 is reconfirmed upon our announcement of the day of the festival.
Meanwhile, our organizing committee encourages our visitors to help limit the spread of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) in our community. We ask you to follow your community standards for visiting with friends/family, going to the store, and completing personal business. Get that vaccination! And, please, stay home if you have any signs of fever, cough or flu-like symptoms, and obtain a COVID-19 test as soon as possible.
WHAT’S NEXT?
Trout Fest made the decision to postpone our 2021 event in adherence to the decision made by the city of Blue Ridge to cancel or postpone all public events until further notice. We will follow the city’s guidelines as these are determined by the city with advice and updates from the Fannin EMA and Department of Public Health.
Our goal now is to build our support for the vendors and sponsors who choose to join us at Trout Fest ‘21. We’ve got advertising and social media to attack. We’ve got vendors and sponsors to book and support. We’ll meet with guides and outfitters for our live programs. We’ll invite food trucks. We’ll audition live music, and we’ll choose the best craft beer and fine wines from local brewers and vineyards, while all of this is organized to be presented for thousands of visitors in downtown city park in historical Blue Ridge.
MOVING FORWARD
More than 3,000 visitors enjoyed Trout Fest 2019 learning where, when and how to fish for trout while also booking their fishing guides; participating in free fly-fishing/trout-fishing instruction; buying their outdoor gear, art and clothing; snacking on great foods and enjoying the Trout Fest Beer Garden with cold beer, wine and ciders. And we’re sure folks are ready to break out when COVID restrictions relax this season.
Make your break to Blue Ridge and join Trout Fest ‘21 to discover trout fishing and the wide range of outdoors recreation in Fannin County – The Official Trout Capital of Georgia!
