This wasthe 2025 Trout Trot 5K

 The Riverwalk Run Series in 2024 took hundreds of runners through the two historic state-line downtowns -- McCaysville, GA and Copperhill, TN -- when the 2024 Trout Trot 5K kicked off on the evening of April 26.

The one-of-a-kind, 3.1 mile course opens up again at 6:30 pm on April 26, 2025, when runners take off on a path that  incudes not only two charming Southern towns in different states. That route also includes a job alongside the famous Toccoa River and across the area’s iconic steel truss bridge — one of only a few left in America.

With so much to do in the area, we recommend staying the whole weekend, surrounded by the mountains and rivers of beautiful NorthWest Georgia. In addition to boutique shopping and riverside dining at RIVERWALK SHOPS, discover the next generation of country music with LIVE performances every Friday and Saturday night at TOONEYS.

The series was created by the McCaysville Business Association, a non-profit organization, to further the goal of fostering economic, cultural and social growth within the community.
