(March 14, 2020) -- The 2020 Blue Ridge Trout & Outdoor Adventures Festival (Trout Fest) believes we share a responsibility to help protect our families and community. Trout Fest and the Back The Brookies Bash is postponed until a future summertime 2020 date can be determined. We have taken this precautionary measure to help limit the spread of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) in our community. We are encouraging everyone to stay home especially if you have any signs of fever, cough or flu-like symptoms.
Our goal is to reschedule Trout Fest in mid-summer 2020. Continuing our business at that later date with our vendors and sponsors requires several considerations that will be determined over the next 10 days. This will take some time and coordination. We appreciate your patience as we work through our options. Updates will be provided directly to our vendors and sponsors via email/phone as these decisions are confirmed.
Trout Fest has made this decision in adherence to the decision made by the city of Blue Ridge to cancel or postponed all public events until further notice. We will follow the city’s guidelines as these are determined by the city with advice and updates from the Fannin EMA and Department of Public Health.
We will post updates on the Trout Fest website – BlueRidgeTroutFest.com – and the event’s Facebook page for both the festival and the Back The Brookies Bash as these become available.
Thank you for your support. We will be in touch as we know more.
