There will be two seminar tents in 2018 with classes scheduled in both tents all day.  Atlanta Fly Fishing School will once again present tips and techniques on fly fishing and the second tent will consist of local river and lake guides and other fishing experts.  The schedule for both seminar tents will be posted when completed.

Tent #1 Schedule

 

Tent# 1 - Atlanta Fly Fishing School 

10:00 – 10:30 AM   Early Bird Clinic – The Six Essentials of Fly Casting

10:30 – 11:30 AM    Where to Fly Fish in Georgia – A review of Georgia’s major fisheries, focusing on North Georgia’s streams and lakes.  Learn about fishing regulations, Georgia’s delayed harvest program, and reading streams and other waters.  Participants will receive a map of Georgia’s trout fisheries.

11:30 – 12:30 PM    Basic Fly Fishing Equipment – What you need to know in selecting rods, reels, lines, leaders, and tippets.  How to get the best bang for your buck based on AFFS experience and research so you can hit the stream with as much (or as little) as you need.  Participants will receive a leader and tippet courtesy of Scientific Anglers (TBD).

12:30 – 1:30 PM    The Flies of Fly Fishing – A lesson in stream-side entomology, so you can tie or buy the right flies at the right time in the right place to catch fish anywhere. Attendees will receive a dozen flies selected for north Georgia waters.
